A short visit to the western United States always calls for some hiking in the hopes that we come across some herps. A hike to some pristine water yields Tiger Salamanders!

Down south in dryer habitat we see a pair of roadrunners and some desert tortoises!

Back in the spring in lowland desert, we come across more tortoises and our first Gila Monster!
